Sony Music Publishing has signed producer and songwriter Jon Buscema to a global publishing deal, in partnership with Daniel Nigro and his publishing venture Amusement.
The agreement marks one of the first producer signings under Amusement, the publishing company launched by Nigro, who has worked with artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, and Conan Gray.
Buscema has built a growing reputation as a cross-genre collaborator, with songwriting and production credits for artists such as Conan Gray, Devon Again, Noah Rinker, Grace VanderWaal, and Sofia & The Antoinettes.
“With Dan, Amusement, and Sony, I feel I’ve finally found a group of people who share a passion for developing artists and put music first.”

He has played a central role in the development of emerging artists like Devon Again and Noah Rinker, co-writing and producing Devon Again’s latest EP In Order in full, and producing tracks including “Wherever I Go” and “The Pines” for Rinker. Buscema is currently continuing work with both artists.
More recently, Buscema collaborated with Nigro on “Caramel”, a track from Conan Gray’s latest album Wishbone.
Commenting on the deal, Buscema said: “Finding the right team can be one of the more challenging aspects of navigating the music industry. With Dan, Amusement, and Sony, I feel I’ve finally found a group of people who share a passion for developing artists and put music first. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and excited for what’s ahead”.”
Nigro added: “I’m beyond excited to sign my first producer to Amusement. Jon is one of the smartest and most thoughtful producers I’ve come across in years, and shares my ideals on the importance of always putting the song first.”
Nigro founded Amusement in 2023, initially as a home for Chappell Roan following her departure from her former label, releasing music created for her album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
