Last week, Hero listed the Xtreme 160R 4V with cruise control on its website, revealing all the added features it would bring but not the pricing. Now the bike has been launched and sits at the top of the Xtreme 160R 4V line-up, at a premium of Rs 4,485 over the standard variant.

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V with cruise control: all you need to know
New variant costs Rs 4,485 more than the standard bike
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V with cruise control retains the same mechanical package as the standard bike, powered by a 163.2cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine producing peak output figures of 16.9hp at 8,500rpm and 14.6Nm at 6,500rpm. Where it differentiates itself is with the features package.
On this bike, that includes the addition of a ride-by-wire throttle system that enables cruise control, like we saw on the Xtreme 125R. The system also enables three riding modes – Rain, Road, and Sport – that can be toggled via updated switchgear and a new colour-LCD dash shared with the Xtreme 250R. Speaking of which, the new variant also gets a revised LED headlight, inspired by the unit on the Xtreme 250R.
The new variant is available in four colour schemes – a dual-tone bronze and black finish, dual-tone forest green and neon green, a black colour with red highlights, and the ‘Combat Edition’ matte grey colour that’s exclusive to this variant.
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V with cruise control is priced at Rs 1.34 lakh, making it just under Rs 4,500 more expensive than the standard variant which is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). For the added price, you do get some segment-first features that warrant the additional premium, and give the bike a slight edge in the features department when compared to rivals like the Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160.
