The BMW XM has gotten the attention of various tuners since its debut in 2022. The flagship of the current BMW M lineup served as a base for special build by G-Power, combining performance upgrades with a louder exhaust, a set of 23-inch wheels, and a carbon fiber bodykit supplied by no other than Mansory.

The highlight of the one-off XM is what lies under the hood. The plug-in hybrid twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine has been tuned to produce a combined 937 hp (699 kW / 950 PS) and a monstrous 1,400 Nm (1,033 lb-ft) of torque. Note that the stock XM makes 738 hp (748 PS / 550 kW) and 1,000 Nm (737.6 lb-ft) right from the factory, which is already enough to make owners of the Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX anxious.

G-Power claims that the power and torque increase was made possible by software optimization on the factory ECU, including adjustments in the parameters for boost pressure, ignition etc. The tuner has also raised the top speed limiter from 270 km/h (168 mph) to a rounded 300 km/h (186 mph) bringing the XM on par with some of the fastest SUVs in the world.
Besides the extra grunt, the XM received a louder exhaust. New parts include the G-Power sports downpipes with 200-cell catalytic converters. The latter comply with the latest Euro 6 regulations, meaning that the owner of the modified SUV will have a clear conscious driving it on European roads.

Predictably, the model doesn’t come short of visual upgrades, communicating its performance credentials. Instead of fabricating its own bodykit, G-Power has asked the help of fellow-tuner Mansory in order to dress up the XM with carbon fiber bits. These include garnish for the front bumper intakes, a prominent splitter, a bulged hood cover, fender extensions, side skirts, a massive rear diffuser, and a rear wing.

The exterior is painted in a bright orange shade with dark accents, typical of extreme G-Power builds. Finally, the SUV is rides on a new set of Hurricane RR alloy wheels with a jet black finish, measuring 23 inches in diameter. The tuner didn’t show the cabin, but mentioned it offers a “complete G-Power interior refit” upon customer request.

The pictured XM with 937 hp (699 kW / 950 PS) might be a one-off build, but G-Power does offer performance packages for other owners of the SUV.
The first one brings the powertrain to 838 hp (625 kW / 850 PS) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque, while the other option elevates it to a healthier 888 hp (662 kW / 900 PS) and 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft). Furthermore, the tuner is currently working on another variant that promises to “top everything” with 1,000 horsepower. This one will also feature the complete Deeptone exhaust system.
Finally, G-Power wants everyone to know that the aforementioned upgrades are also available for the G90 sedan and G99 Touring versions of the latest BMW M5 that features a similar V8-based plug-in hybrid setup. There is no word on the cost of the modifications, so interested parties should contact the tuner directly.
